No. ZWIM is a tool you use to add more swim-specific training to your week. The pool builds water feel, breathing, body rotation, kick integration. Things only the water teaches. ZWIM builds the propulsion engine: isolated stroke work, live data on every stroke, training you can do at home, more often, on your schedule.

Use it alongside your pool sessions to be more consistent and put more swim-specific work in your week. We are also collaborating with Dr. Mário Costa (UTAD, CIDESD) on biomechanic research to make sure what ZWIM measures matches the science.

Heads-up on a question we get a lot: we have multiple self-reports from users — including our own founder — who got faster swimming on the legacy ZEN8 with very limited pool time. We have not formally validated this, results vary, and we still recommend you swim as much as you can in actual water. ZWIM extends your training. It does not replace the pool.
